Yoga.
A gentle, subtle transformation — an awakening.
Like a soft tap on the shoulder, a quiet invitation to listen.
Guiding us inward, back to ourselves — to our bodies, our feelings, our energy.
The simple act of stepping onto our mats to move, to breathe, to be with ourselves — can truly transform our lives.
About Lorraine
Lorraine, of Irish origin, lives and teaches in Aljezur, southwest Portugal.
Rooted in more than a decade of devoted Ashtanga practice, she brings a heartfelt passion for handbalancing and the art of mindful movement.
Her journey took a new direction in 2019, gently unfolding toward the space of teaching and sharing the transformative gifts of yoga with others.
In March 2021, she completed 300 hours of Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training at Ashtanga Yoga Luxembourg, deepening her commitment to guide others along their path. She has attended workshops with Prem Carlisi, Petri Räisänen, Scott Johnson, Dorothy Loh & Laruga Glaser.
In recent years, Lorraine has been studying with & assisting Petri Räisänen at his home shala in Odeceixe.
In 2024, Lorraine began practicing handbalancing as a separate art under the guidance of Peppe Provino, and continues to refine her form with a strong daily practice.
Lorraine’s classes invite students to reconnect with themselves, cultivate genuine awareness, and discover a more balanced, fulfilling life through the embodied practice of yoga. She believes that each time we step onto the mat to breathe and move, we ground ourselves, find focus and clarity, and gently reshape the way we engage with our world.
Each breath, each movement, becomes a gentle return — bringing us closer to our center, allowing us to meet life’s experiences with presence, openness, and grace.
